We are looking for several graphic artists and writers to join us in collaborating comic strip projects that we are launching soon. We wish to create several series and publish them on our website come4play.com.

We are looking for several graphic artists and writers to join us in collaborating comic strip projects that we are launching soon. We wish to create several series and publish them on our website come4play.com.

In our universe, our heroes and heroines fight for all persuasions, Gay, Straight, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, and Transgender. Therefore, we obviously want our heroes and or heroines to also represent the diversity of human sexuality.

Since the site is age restricted, contributing graphic artists and writers will have almost complete artistic freedom to express this hot and sexy battle between good and evil.

Writers and graphic artists should be prepared with a pilot strip. Your Pilot Strip submission should come complete a title for your series, synopsis of the character, complete with description(s) that include details about who they are as a super hero and how they live in their secret identity, as well as what cause(s) they fight for and whom the fight against.
Stay tuned for more information and details regarding these projects.

Hellblazer comic books & Sandman trading cards

I actually saw the movie a while back, but I thought I'd share my thoughts. It was actually good! I'mn not sure how well it followed the comic since I haven't read it (although, I still wish they would have left John as a brit). Keanu didn't do a half-bad job. There were still some wooden lines, but otherwise, a good performance.

ok obviously the sandman series is by far my fav vertigo series of all the books, which did you like best and why? mine is brief lives cause that has a whole lot of delerium in it and if i had to identify most w/any of the endless it would be delerium, then death would come next. or maybe they both tie casue i cant decide after all i am certifiably insane.

I ordered the 'some-hundred-odd' page Directors Cut book of JTHM. But, it was such an ordeal to get anything from these people, I forgot to ask details. I mean, I think he said it was 1-7, but I can't say for sure. It was about 20 bucks....but...I honestly am not sure what I ordered.

Does this sound like something anyone has or knows about? Help fill me in??

I am announcing that I am putting issues 55-59 of Transmetropolitan up for bid. All comics are in new condition.

Bidding *starts* at $14.75 for all five, s/h included, or $2.50 each.

Payment will be accepted in money order form.

I will take these issues off bid after 5:00 P.M. tomorrow (06/17/2004), highest bidder gets the comics. I will send the high bidder a private message telling where to send the money order.

Depending on how the bid goes, I *may* throw in issue #60 free as an added bonus.

Comic Injustice: the Attack on Corner Comics

An overly aggressive IRS agent is misinterpreting the law and essentially threatening to destroy a comic shop in Washington.
If this interpretation of law is extended to the rest of the comics and used-book industry it could spell disaster.

Caper is a DC title?

So, I've been reading Caper, and it's easily the best thing I've read in ages. Great story, awesome writing, brilliant art. The thing is, it's a DC title, not a Vertigo. There is all sorts of swearing, blood and various violence, and the only thing missing seems to be nudity. It reminded me of Mobfire from the early 1990s in tone and style, and that was a pushed Vertigo title.
What gives?
